Overview: Third-year middle school student Yu-yu Kondo lives in Kanazawa city of the country of Kaga. Being unable to reject requests, Yu-yu often gets caught up in his sister's hobbies. When Yu-yu could no longer bear it and ran away from home, he was saved by Megumi Okura. Megumi invites Yu-yu to the Night Amusement Park "Wonder Hill" where her friends gather. The amusement park is where many youths of the Vanguard-centric group "Team Blackout" gather. And this is how Yu-yu encounters Vanguard and was drawn in by the appeal of Vanguard and the world and friends he had never seen before.

One day, a youth named Akina Myodo from Kanazawa, Kaga, obtains a mysterious card after experiencing a vision of planet Cray. That card is proof that he has been chosen as the Fated One of Miracles and an invitation to the "Fated Clash," where the last one standing can have their wish granted.
With the knowledge that Hikari's illness may be cured if he is the last one standing in the "Fated Clash", Akina gains a sense for Vanguard under the tutelage of Nao, his senior from his part-time job. However, as if his line of thinking was foreseen, Gabwelius appears before Akina once more.
First round of the Fated Clash is set at the spiritual ground, Hakusan. The Fated Ones facing off are Unparalleled vs. Miracles. A sudden match between the apprentice and the master, Akina and Nao. Nao exhibits unparalleled strength, aiming to be a pro-fighter. Does Akina stand a chance?
The perfect idol Mikoto is currently on hiatus and hooked on Net Vanguard. Joining an offline meeting, Akina witnesses the fight between Megumi and Mikoto. Meanwhile, the masked person comes into contact with Suo Yobitsugi.
It's the second round of the Fated Clash, and for some reason, Mikoto's opponent Taizo Kiyokura knows about Akina, and even visits Hikari in hospital. The fight begins, and while Taizo praises Mikoto's effort, he also remarks that he "can't see her self in her fights".
Akina faces off against Taizo in the third round of the Fated Clash. Taizo's confidence remains unshaken despite his consecutive battles, as giving his best at all times is his style as a pro-fighter. Recognizing the difference in skill, Akina bets on the "one in a hundred" chance and fights with all his might.
The quiet and emotionless boy Suo Yobitsugi shares with Akina about his painful past as the pair pass a stormy night in town. Meanwhile, as Masanori starts questioning Gabwelius about the true aim of the Fated Clash, Shinobu appears to challenge him to a showdown.
Nao participates in the "Rising Dragon Cup" Vanguard tournament. Her opponent Mondo Kirishima is a powerful pro-fighter who made a comeback to show his son how fights should be done, but Nao is giving it her all as well. Who will emerge victorious?!
