Landing astray on unfamiliar terrain, the fully-grown Krypto swiftly seeks out companionship on Earth and flips over Kevin Whitney, a young boy who too longs for friendship. With an amazing array of super hero powers, ranging from heat vision to super strength to flying, Krypto partners with best pal Kevin to fight evil forces that threaten the safety and well-being of the people and animals of Metropolis.

Bathound has a crisis in confidence when he pursues Catwoman's cat, Isis, who is able to use a bad luck charm against him. Then, Krypto must come to the rescue of the Dog Stars when they are forced to perform in a space circus.

Krypto and Bathound pursue a villain named Dogwood who steals trees. Then, Krypto and Kevin are at their wits' end when an enlarging ray turns Melanie into a 30-foot giant.
Bathound assists the Dog Stars when Hot Dog goes missing. Then, Krypto comes to Jimmy The Rat's aid when he disguises himself as a dog and becomes a member of the Downtown Dogs.
