Ginger is invited to Courtney's party, but there's one problem: she has to watch Carl. She takes Carl to the party and ties him up with a hose in the backyard. Meanwhile, Dodie and Macie have their own party at Dodie's house.
Courtney decides to go to Camp Caprice for the summer along with Ginger and her friends. Will the spoiled rich girl get used to roughing it or ruin Ginger's chances with a boy named Sasha she meets there? Meanwhile, Carl and Hoodsey plot to stay at home during the summer to catch a dog thief by starting a vampire dog cleaning service while Darren and Miranda are sent to a military camp. Note: In countries where it is shown as three different episodes, the separate episodes have different titles: 'Season of Caprice,' 'Thicker Than Bug Spray,' & 'Break A Lake.'
Ginger gets accepted to The Avalance Art Academy. It's a big honor, but it will mean that she has to spend an entire semester away from home. This doesn't sit well with Dodie, who doesn't want her best friend to leave for so long. But what does Miranda and Mipsy have to do with Ginger's acceptance into the prestigious school? And what happens when Darren realizes he's in love with Ginger? Meanwhile, Carl discovers Noelle has telekenetic powers and enters her in the Weird Human Winter Fest. Ginger is the only one that is nervous about moving on to high school while all her friends are embracing the change and deciding what their new activities will be once they make the big switch. Note: This episode was alternatively titled No Turning Back.
With Lois's wedding to Dr. Dave nearing, Mrs. Dave and a 'network of silver-haired villains' set out to sabotage the festivities.
As their relationship is souring, Ginger gets detention and has to miss Darren's first football game. Instead of telling him what is really happening, she lies and says she'll be there, only making things worse.
Dodie, trying out for the Pep Squad, is doing anything and everything she can to convince the coach to let her on the team.
Ginger and Darren break up, and what Ginger thinks is total heartbreak ends up being a burst appendix and she's rushed to the hospital. Carl looks up to Dr. Dave as his real father after he saves Ginger's life.
Dodie is made an official member of the pep squad after she exaggerates a minor injury sustained in her role as mascot. Ginger sees through the ruse, though, and convinces Dodie to try to earn the position honorably.
When the schools cuts the music program funding in order to finance new uniforms for the football team, Ginger plans a protest, only to be outdone by Carl and Hoodsey's hijacking of Courtney's private Port-o-Potty, and her humiliation during a game.
