    After a fateful meeting at a Tokyo karaoke venue, four musicians head to quiet Karuizawa to start a new chapter performing as a string quartet.

    A skeptical Suzume wonders why Beppu and Iemori were at karaoke on the same night as Maki. Beppu’s coworker asks him to perform at her wedding.

    A teenage boy suddenly shows up outside Nocturne and tells Suzume that her gravely ill father has little time remaining and wants to see her.

    Quartet - Episode 4 (Season 1 - Episode 4)

    Two rugged men come to the villa and ask Iemori about a woman in a photo, but he denies knowing her location. After they leave, he shares a secret.

    Quartet - Episode 5 (Season 1 - Episode 5)

    When a music producer invites the quartet to perform at an upcoming classical music festival, Maki panics and flatly refuses the man’s offer.

    Quartet - Episode 6 (Season 1 - Episode 6)

    Suzume unwittingly brings a thief back to the villa. Meanwhile, Maki’s mother-in-law Kyoko interrogates her, demanding to know if she killed Mikio.

    Quartet - Episode 7 (Season 1 - Episode 7)

    Maki makes a spontaneous, romantic gesture after finally reuniting with Mikio at the villa. Suzume rushes to free herself and alert Kyoko.

    Quartet - Episode 8 (Season 1 - Episode 8)

    Life at the villa is peaceful after Maki’s divorce. Setting aside her own feelings, Suzume enlists Iemori’s help in bringing Maki and Beppu together.

    Quartet - Episode 9 (Season 1 - Episode 9)

    Seeing his housemates’ regret over losing the villa, Beppu asks for time to find a solution. Uninvited guests visit Karuizawa to speak with Maki.

    Quartet - Episode 10 (Season 1 - Episode 10)

    One year after Maki’s departure, Beppu becomes despondent upon seeing her in a magazine article and tells the others to give up on seeing her again.
