Pop Up Video is a VH1 television show that "pops up" bubbles — officially called "info nuggets" — containing trivia, witticisms and borderline sexual innuendos throughout music videos. The show was created by Woody Thompson and Tad Low and premiered October 27, 1996. For a time, it was the highest-rated program on VH1, though Behind the Music overtook it by 1998. It was originally produced by Spin the Bottle Inc. and later Eyeboogie Inc. during its original run. In October 2011, Pop Up Video was revived by VH1, featuring new videos with new trivia and commentary. The revived production was continued by Eyeboogie Inc.

In $100,000 Pyramid, contestants are in teams of two. The goal of the game is to help your partner guess an answer, by listing items that would be included in said answer, or synonymous. For instance, if the answer is “Things That Bounce”, clues would be “Po-Go Sticks”, “Kangaroos”, “Basketballs”, etc. To add to the challenge, the contestant who is giving the clues has their hands strapped to their chair, so they’re unable to gesture in order to help the guessing process.

Bugs was a British television drama series which ran for four series from April 1995 to August 1999. Wizbit was a 1985 BBC children's television show in which an alien magician called Wizbit and a large rabbit called Wooly had adventures in a place called Puzzleopolis. Although it was stated in the show that Wizbit's year-and-a-day mission was to find out all about planet Earth, this clashed somewhat with the events witnessed on screen. Wizbit was to learn about everyday life on earth by solving puzzles in a town inhabited by walking, talking sponge-balls, dice, magic wands, playing cards and 7-foot-tall rabbits. The show made an attempt to be semi-educational. The puzzles Wizbit was set were usually presented to the audience at home, with the solutions being revealed towards the end of the episode. The show was created by Barry Murray, who had formerly been Mungo Jerry's record producer, with assistance from conjuror Paul Daniels. It starred Daniels and his assistant Debbie McGee. Its theme tune was based on a song by Lead Belly, named "Ha-Ha This A Way", sung by Daniels. Wizbit's magic word was "Ostagazuzulum". Wizbit came from the planet WOW, an acronym for 'World Of Wizards'. Wizbit was visiting planet Earth for a year and a day.
