The numerous complications of a previous game make the stakes higher than ever for Miles to deliver an exceptional hunt to the Tiro Fund and their clients. He searches for the perfect prey to whet the appetites of clients.
Having sworn to protect his sister after the death of their parents, Victor makes a last-ditch effort to get out from under the mob debt, but fails. Between Miles' offer and the mobster's threats, Victor is stuck between two life-or-death situations.
The game is on, Victor is in the midst of millions of New Yorkers, and any of them could be hunters; it could be a passenger on the subway or the hot dog vendor on the corner. Victor won't know for sure until they go in for the kill.
Victor's rash actions come back to haunt him, and now he must avoid the NYPD along with the hunters looking to kill him. The rules of the hunt are beautifully simple, yet brutally strict, get arrested during the hunt, and the hunt never ends.
Miles is in the hot seat when the Tiro Fund Board gets word of Victor's impending arrest. Meanwhile, Victor is in an even hotter seat across town, after the first hour of the game ends and the hunters are all given his exact location.
Cornered and desperate, Victor is forced to relive his childhood trauma if he has any hope of surviving the hunt. Meanwhile, Josie and Mr. Dupree's attempts to help are inadvertently putting Victor in even more danger.
